It is Casillero del Diablo’s most famous variety, and Decanter magazine called its 2005 vintage the best of the planet. Delivering aromas of blackberry, vanilla and toast and flavours of dark plums and cherries with a hint of dark chocolate, this red is a delicious crowd-pleaser. The finish has firm tannins. It has the most body of all red varieties and is elegant and ideal with red meats such as beef with black pepper sauce.
