This Rupert & Rothschild Baron Edmond is focused, pure, fresh wild berry aromas with flinty, mineral, exotic herbal notes. Dense, fine tannin structure with exceptional length. The wine is fermented in wooden vats and stainless steel tanks. 5% of the juice was barrel fermented to preserve the fruit flavours of the berries. 16 to 20 days skin contact resulted in excellent colour, concentration, aroma and flavour compounds. Matured for 22 months in 225 litre new French oak barrels. The wine has an ageing potential of at least 15 years from vintage.” – rupert & rothschild
